The journey so far…
In July 2008, Andy, Karen and Sue had a great idea – let’s create somewhere in the area where everyone can enjoy great food and fine wine, in a contemporary environment without travelling to Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, Knutsford or Stockton Heath! So with very little experience in the industry and our eyes wide open we created Relish, a contemporary retaurant, cafe and bar in Hartford, near Northwich in Cheshire.
We found the ideal premises and bought the old Co-op building in Hartford, and work commenced with a substantial renovation project, turning an old run-down property in to a modern, stylish eatery, and 12 months later, in August 2009 we opened our doors for the very first time.
It has been both challenging and exciting in equal measures, and a lot has happened in those 5 years, and although our offerings have changed from our initial thoughts, we have remained true to our original concept. That is to serve our customers with a variety of quality classic and contemporary cooking, accompanied with fine selection wines and beers.
The next chapter
More recently our collaboration with Sue also came to an end and, as sad as this was, we remain great friends. This change in ownership has allowed Andy and Karen to take stock and focus on the future of the business and take it to the next level. So, in February 2015 we gave the place a bit of a facelift, and with the help of our new manager, we devised a new strategy that will enable us to develop and enhance our menu and the products and services we offer to the customers know and love.
We are looking forward to the future with great excitement.
